“May in Ayemenem is a hot, brooding month. The days are long and humid. The river shrinks and black crows gorge on bright mangoes in still, dustgreen trees. Red bananas ripen. Jackfruits burst. Dissolute bluebottles hum vacuously in the fruity air. Then they stun themselves against clear windowpanes and die, fatly baffled in the sun.” ~Arundhati Roy, The God of Small Things
“The past is never dead. It’s not even past.” ~William Faulkner
“After silence, that which comes nearest to expressing the inexpressible is music.” ~Aldous Huxley

All the Money in the World vs. All the People in the World
-Howard Zinn
The 99% OWS movement continues to grow. The NY protestors at the center of this movement are genuine American patriots – unlike the confused, co-opted, corporate, Kochroach-funded, Ayn Rand Zombie Teabaggers with their threats of violent sedition and their misspelled, racist signs and their guns – who thought it patriotic to spit on our duly elected representatives while calling them niggers and faggots.
The brave Wall Street protestors are daily standing up to the oligarchy and giving a voice to us all. They’re facing down threats, beatings, pepper-spray and arrests. Not to mention the rain and the cold. Yet they’re still growing.
Courage is contagious.
This movement has spread from NY to LA and to some 900 cities across the globe.
A movement that started as an improbably small snowball is rolling down a very steep mountain and is now unstoppable. As I wrote over two weeks ago, We’re Winning!
Corporations and the Wall Street Banksters may have all the money in the world but we have 99% of the people.
We need to make sure that these courageous American heroes have everything they need to keep this occupation going.
Click here to contribute to Occupy Wall Street. They are fighting for you and your children, after all.
